Clinical Supervision
Experience and Training:
I have been a clinical supervisor for over 10 years and hold a lot of experience.
For 6 years I ran two supervision groups per week with trainee addiction counsellors in placement as well as supervising therapists on a 1:1 basis. I currently supervise the clinical work of a number of therapists in private practice.
My work as a supervisor is very much informed by the existential approach, however, I work with counsellors and therapists from a wide range of approaches.
I received my Post-Graduate Training as a supervisor with The Metanoia Institute and the approach adopted was primarily relational. This allows me to work confidently with all models of counselling.
Setting up Supervision:
If you are looking for a clinical supervisor, I recommend that we meet for an initial appointment to explore your needs as a clinical practitioner and the extent I will be able to meet those needs. This session will last for 50 - 60 minutes.
If we decide that we can work with each other, then, I always suggest a review after four sessions. If we are still both satisfied with the work we are doing then we can make a formal commitment.
The frequency of supervision sessions will be dependent of your caseload and this can be discussed during our initial meeting.
I can offer two locations for sessions:
The Wimbledon Guild, 30-32 Worple Road, Wimbledon.
My practice in New Malden.
Cost of Supervision:
I charge £70.00 - £80.00 per supervision session. Cost based on affordability.
