Fees and Terms
Following the initial assessment when both counsellor and client have made the commitment to work together, a verbal contract will be made and a start date and time will be confirmed.
Payment of Fees
Each session will take place at the same time and place every week and each session will last for 50 minutes.
Sessions cost £65.00 - £75.00 for 1:1 sessions dependent on ability to pay and for couples, again depending on ability to pay, between £80.00 and £90.00. This is payable at the end of each session by cash, cheque or bank transfer. Advance notice will be given of any increase in fees.
Cancellations
Any missed sessions by the client must be paid for unless an alternative slot can be arranged. Sessions cancelled by the therapist will not be charged for. Reasonable notice of any cancellations will be given by both client and therapist.
Confidentiality
All sessions are strictly confidential however, this confidentiality may be broken if the therapist considers the client to be at risk to him- or herself or to/from others.
Ending Counselling
Sessions are open-ended which means the client decides when he/she wishes to end the counselling. It is always beneficial to have a minimum of three sessions notice to enable therapist and client to work towards a 'good' ending.
Remember, all this information and any other concerns you may have will be discussed at the initial assessment. No counselling will begin until you feel comfortable and ready to do so.
Privacy Policy
From 25th May 2018 any information I hold about you will be protected in the following way.
Phone numbers and email addresses will be deleted when you stop using my services. I will never contact you through social media. Any correspondence we may have through texts or emails will be deleted on a monthly basis.
All client or supervision records are held in written form in hard copy only. Handwritten notes are identified in code (first name or initial letters) and stored separately from any email details. Both forms of data are locked in separate cabinets to which I am the only person with access. These notes will be destroyed 2 years after all counselling or supervision has ended.
No data is passed onto a third party unless for legal or safeguarding reasons in which case prior consent by you will always be obtained.
All records pertaining to payment of my services are similarly protected and only kept in written form. I am obliged legally to hold these details for tax purposes but again these details will be destroyed after the obligatory period of time.

Individual Counselling - £70.00 - £85.00 Sliding scale based on affordability
Couples Counselling - Sliding scale between £85.00 and £100.00
